Jennifer V. Suarez is a registered patent attorney who currently focuses her practice on domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution, primarily in the electrical, mechanical, software, and medical arts. She also counsels clients on strategic development of their IP assets, conducts examiner interviews, and responds to USPTO and PCT office actions.

Jennifer leverages her 18 years of prior experience as an engineer working in corporations spanning multiple disciplines to assist clients with technologies including these:

Before joining Fitch Even, Jennifer was a patent attorney with an IP law boutique based in Austin, Texas. Prior to earning her law degree, she worked as an electrical engineer in large companies in manufacturing, product research and development, process development, and product acceptance. Jennifer’s work included system integration and testing of a complex radar system, which involved system operation, fault analysis, and problem troubleshooting and resolution. She also reverse-engineered and reevaluated a prior design to support the upgrade of old system test sets. In addition, Jennifer designed fiber optic communication networks.

Jennifer’s many years of engineering experience in corporate settings provides her with a deeper comprehension of her clients’ intellectual property issues and challenges.

Jennifer is fluent in Tagalog and is proficient in conversational Spanish.
