Alexsam, Inc. v. IDT Corporation (E.D. Tex. 2007-11). Obtained a successful jury verdict in patent infringement litigation relating to systems and methods for activating phone and gift cards. The federal court entered a $10.1 million final judgment and initiated a new proceeding for determination of royalties on future sales. This verdict was named a Top 25 Texas Verdict and the seventh-largest IP verdict in Texas for 2011. The matter is currently on appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Alexsam v. UnitedHealth (E.D. Tex. 2007-11). Obtained favorable settlement of patent infringement litigation relating to network and database systems for medical card transactions.
Software Restore Solutions, LLC v. Apple, Inc., et al. (N.D. Ill. 2010-11). Obtained favorable settlement of patent infringement litigation relating to method of computer configuration management.
Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc. v. Alpine Elecs. (W.D. Tex. 2006-09). Obtained a summary judgment of invalidity of patents relating to search software implemented in navigation systems.
Biax Corp. v. Sun Microsystems Inc. (E.D. Tex. 2006-09). Obtained favorable dismissal of patent litigation related to parallel processing functions of microprocessor technology on the eve of trial.
In re: Iridium Operating LLC v. Motorola, Inc. (S.D.N.Y. 1999-2007). Obtained favorable defendants’ decision relating to satellite telephone communication technology and related financial issues after nine-month bench trial.
Nikon v. ASML Holding N.V. I.T.C. (N.D. Cal. 2004). Obtained a favorable result for the client in patent litigation dispute relating to lithography systems for the semiconductor industry.
