Jared E. Hedman is a trial lawyer who, in addition to a wide range of patent infringement litigation, has represented clients in intellectual property disputes involving breach of contract, trade secrets, and copyright ownership. He has participated in multiple trials, helping to obtain favorable results for clients in numerous jurisdictions from New York to Texas to California, including in Vermont, Delaware, Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Nevada, and Washington. Jared has also handled intellectual property disputes before the International Trade Commission.

Clients rely upon Jared’s demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with their in-house counsel and senior executives when developing and implementing litigation strategies that are focused on achieving business goals. He is equally skilled at maximizing intellectual property protection and market potential in many different technological areas, including computer processors and memory, audio players, medical and surgical devices, athletic wear, gaming, filtration, computer vision, telecommunications, security systems, and PDA technology.

With more than a decade of intellectual property litigation experience, Jared was partner at a large international full-service law firm before joining Fitch Even.



Representing athletic sportswear company in patent infringement action involving several patents relating to flexible materials used to protect sports participants' bodies.

Represented global garage opener manufacturer in multi-patent infringement assertion involving patented safety features. Settlement reached.

Represented a telecommunications provider in successfully arbitrating and defending against several hundred million dollar patent infringement and breach of contract damages claim (at prior firm).

Represented a global healthcare corporation in a multi-patent assertion relating to kidney dialysis products (at prior firm).

Represented several Nevada-based gaming industry corporations in different patent infringement, breach of contract, and trade secret actions relating to gaming products and devices, vision technology, and card shufflers. Trial victory and settlements reached (at prior firm).
