Fitch Even attorney Selena M. Spritz has joined a select group of individuals recognized as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) after successfully completing training and passing the Certification Foundation examination and the CIPP Examination. These examinations require the applicant to display “a strong foundation in U.S. privacy laws and regulations and understanding of the legal requirements for the responsible transfer of sensitive personal date to/from the U.S., the EU, and other jurisdictions,” according to the IAPP.
Ms. Spritz counsels clients in advertising and promotional matters, with an increasing focus on issues related to the receipt, maintenance, transfer, and misuse of data.
Founded in 2000, the IAPP is the world’s largest association of privacy professionals, with more than 10,000 members from business, government, and academic institutions in 73 countries. The IAPP provides a forum for privacy professionals to share best practices, track trends, advance privacy management issues, and provide education and guidance on opportunities in the field of information privacy.
