Fitch Even partner Joseph E. Shipley will represent the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC) at the 28th Annual Meeting of the U.S. Bar–EPO Liaison Council taking place in Munich, Germany, on October 10, 2012. Mr. Shipley and other U.S. delegates will meet with the managing officials of the European Patent Office, including EPO president Benoît Battistelli.
The U.S. Bar–EPO Liaison Council, which consists of delegates from various national and regional U.S. patent bar associations, meets annually with the heads of the EPO to discuss matters of interest to the U.S. bar.
IPLAC is the oldest intellectual property law association in the United States. Fitch Even attorneys have served as leaders and members of the organization since its inaugural meeting in 1884.
