Fitch Even attorney Shane Delsman will co-moderate the Second Annual Gastro-Intellectual Property Law Symposium, focusing on innovation in food around the world, from molecular gastronomy to organic and genetically modified food. Presented by the Chicago-Kent Intellectual Property Law Society and the Chicago Bar Association, the symposium will take place on February 19, 2013, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law at 565 W. Adams St. in Chicago. CLE credit will be available.
Panelists will include Nick Kokonas, co-owner and managing partner of cutting-edge restaurants Alinea and Next; Kevin Boehm, co-founder of the Boka Restaurant Group; Thomas and Lori Leavitt, owners of personal chef service White Oak Gourmet; and Sandil Devadas, senior intellectual property counsel at DuPont Pioneer. Christopher J. Buccafusco, assistant professor of law at Chicago-Kent, will act as co-moderator along with Shane.
