July 23, 2014

Fitch Even counsel Kenneth W. Hairston will be a featured presenter during the National Bar Association’s 89th Annual Convention in Atlanta. Ken will speak as part of a panel for a CLE seminar on “Thriving in the New Territory of Post-Grant Proceedings” on Thursday, July 31, from 8:30 to 10:00 am. The program will educate practitioners on post-grant proceedings under the America Invents Act, including the covered business method review, inter partes review, post-grant review, supplemental examination, and derivation proceedings.

Ken has provided intellectual property law counsel for nearly four decades, including 23 years serving as an Administrative Patent Judge at the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences (now known as the Patent Trial and Appeal Board) at the USPTO. Drawing upon the insight and extensive experience gained from his judicial work, Ken currently counsels clients in complex patent prosecution matters and patent office appeals, as well as administrative post-patent grant challenges, including ex parte reexaminations.
