June 12, 2015

Fitch Even attorney Alisa C. Simmons was installed as President of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC) for 2015–16 at the IPLAC Annual Meeting on May 19, 2015, at the University Club of Chicago. Alisa’s practice includes U.S. and international trademark portfolio management and trademark and copyright counseling, prosecution, and litigation.

Several other Fitch Even attorneys serve on various IPLAC committees. Fitch Even partner Joseph T. Nabor will continue as Chair of IPLAC’s Historical Records for 2015–16. Joe has been active in IPLAC since 1994 in a variety of leadership roles.

Fitch Even partner Joseph E. Shipley, who served as IPLAC President for the 2008–09 bar year, will continue as IPLAC’s delegate to the U.S. Bar–EPO Liaison Council and as Vice-Chair of the International Patent Committee for 2015–16.

Fitch Even attorney Christian C. Damon volunteers as a member of the Litigation Amicus Committee. This committee tracks amicus opportunities and proposes and prepares amicus briefs to be submitted by IPLAC.

Founded in 1884, IPLAC is the oldest intellectual property law association in the United States. Fitch Even attorneys have served as leaders and members of the organization since its inaugural meeting.

We congratulate Alisa on this notable leadership role and wish her a productive and memorable tenure as President!
