Fitch Even Partners Karl Fink and Mark Borsos to Speak During Techweek Chicago

Fitch Even partners Karl R. Fink and Mark A. Borsos will be participating in a panel discussion following “101 Post-Alice: How USPTO & Practitioners Are Reacting,” a program taking place on June 26, 2015, at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. The program and panel discussion are presented by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC) in partnership with Techweek Chicago. 

Michael Cygan, Senior Legal Advisor at the USPTO Office of Patent Legal Administration, will discuss the USPTO’s December 2014 interim guidance for patentable subject matter eligibility. Following the presentation, a panel moderated by Christal Sheppard, Director of the USPTO’s Detroit Satellite Office, will discuss how the Supreme Court decision Alice v. CLS Bank International has impacted the USPTO and practitioners.
