Twenty attorneys and employees of Fitch, Even participated in the Race Judicata® 2006 Sprint for Justice 5k run and walk on August 10 to raise money for the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation. Jim Wakely was the "fastest in firm" this year. Amanda Lowerre was the fastest female.

Since 1964, attorneys from the Chicago area have volunteered their time and expertise to provide free legal services for 300,000 low income Chicagoans. Fitch Even attorneys are currently handling a number of cases for CVLS clients, and have been working with CVLS for more than twenty years.

Fitch Even Pro Bono Client PHOTOCHARITY Holds 5th Annual CONCERT OF HOPE To Support Homeless Youth In San Diego

Fitch Even proudly supports PHOTOCHARITY and its efforts to support homeless youth by serving its trademark needs on a pro bono basis. PHOTOCHARITY will hold its 5th Annual CONCERT OF HOPE fundraising event April 30, 2006 at Humphrey's by the Bay in San Diego, California to support homeless youth in San Diego. PHOTOCHARITY is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for charitable organizations that empower youth to make better choices. The primary beneficiary is The Storefront, a homeless shelter for youth ages 12-17 in San Diego, California. Since 2001, PHOTOCHARITY has raised over $600,000 to support homeless youth in San Diego, and plans to raise funds to implement the PHOTOCHARITY HOUSE, a "home" for homeless youth in San Diego.

Fitch Even Represents The Lakeview Pantry In Pro Bono Civil Action

March 27, 2006

Lakeview Pantry is a non-profit organization that helps people by distributing food and clothing. The Lakeview Pantry provides groceries to those who need it the most - poor people with an average income about $400 per month and often no place to live. On-site distribution and home delivery service are possible thanks to donations from the Greater Chicago Food Depository and private contributions.

Christine Abuel Pompa and Karl Fink are representing Lakeview Pantry in a civil action currently pending in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division. The Lakeview Pantry has been sued in a personal injury claim involving an automobile collision between a Lakeview Pantry delivery vehicle and a Chicago Police Officer. The case was referred to the firm by Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.

Fitch Even Team Climbs Stairs At John Hancock Building

February 26, 2006

On Sunday, February 26, over 4,000 people participated in the 9th annual OfficeMax Hustle Up the Hancock to raise money for the American Lung Association of Metropolitan Chicago. The "Legally Insane II" team from Fitch Even consisted of Joseph Nabor, Christine Abuel Pompa, Amanda Lowerre, Calista Mitchell, Meghan Rooney, Mary Beth Schumacher and Sarah Walkington. The group took 11th place in the 52nd Floor Climb competition. Additionally, Richard Kaba participated in the 94th Floor Climb competition.
