FETF Supports Chicago Public Schools Student Science Fair
March 26, 2007 From March 19-24, over three hundred students chosen from over ten thousand local science fair participants gathered at the Museum of Science & Industry to compete in the 57th Annual Chicago Public Schools Student Science Fair. Several Fitch, Even attorneys served as volunteer judges for a special award program sponsored by the Chicago Intellectual Property Alliance. Their mission was to identify the student projects involving the most inventive subject matter, along with educating students about inventions and the patenting process. CIPA provides assistance with the filing of a patent application to the student with the most promising invention, and cash awards for the three most inventive projects. You can read more about the Science Fair in general at www.chicagostudentsciencefair.org and more about CIPA and this year's Science Fair winners at www.chicagoipalliance.com The Fitch, Even team of judges included Steve Parmelee (who serves on CIPA's Science Fair committee), Tim Maloney, Nick Peters, Jim Krueger, and Tim Baumann.
