Fitch Even Announces 2010 Executive Committee Positions
January, 2010 Despite a challenging economic climate, Fitch Even prospered during 2009 with its continued focus on the firm’s core ideals of building and maintaining strong client relationships. In 2010, our focus remains the same and will be guided by the following members of our Executive Committee: Tim Maloney, Managing Partner. In more than fifteen years of practice at Fitch Even, Mr. Maloney has developed a broad range of experience in both legal and business aspects of the intellectual property field. He has held a number of positions of leadership within the firm and has served as a member of its management team for several years. Karl Fink, Partner, who served as the firm’s Managing Partner for the past six years, remains a member of the management team, with a particular focus on continuing to advance the firm’s IP litigation practice. During Mr. Fink’s tenure as Managing Partner, Fitch Even achieved significant growth and business diversification, and expanded the firm’s attorney numbers and locations, among other achievements. Joe Shipley, Partner, has been named as a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Shipley has led the firm’s Employment Committee since 2001, and served as the President of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago for the 2008-09 bar year. Tim Levstik, Partner, remains a member of the Executive Committee, a position he has held for 25 years. Mr. Levstik is also a former Managing Partner of Fitch Even. Among other accomplishments, he guided the firm through a successful transition to its next generation of attorneys during his tenure. Tom Lebens, Partner, remains a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Lebens is resident in the firm’s San Luis Obispo, California office and leads its West Coast operations. Ken Colton, Partner, remains a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Colton is resident in the firm’s Washington DC office, with a primary focus on the firm’s East Coast operations. Mark Hetzler, Partner, remains a member of the Executive Committee, a position he has held since 2009. Mr. Hetzler has primary responsibilities relating to the operations of the firm’s Chicago office. Gerry Prokaski, Executive Director, remains a member of the Executive Committee, a position he has held for over 15 years. Mr. Prokaski manages the firm’s professional staff, infrastructure and logistics.
