Karl Fink Served on Panel Addressing Inequitable Conduct at AIPLA Annual Meeting
September 9, 2009 The Annual Meeting of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, one of the premier professional events of the year, took place on October 15-17, 2009 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington DC. Fitch Even partner, Karl Fink was selected to serve on an ethics panel which addressed the subject Current Trends in Inequitable Conduct in Patent Litigation, which was scheduled for the Thursday, October 15th session. Mr. Fink, who concentrates his practice primarily in the area of patent and other IP litigation, provided a litigator’s perspective regarding the duty to investigate information that may be considered material during the patent application examination process. Among other distinguished panelists, The Honorable Paul R. Michel, acting Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, provided a judicial perspective of the defense of inequitable conduct during litigation.
