Fitch Even Selected To Author IP Chapter In Burger's Medicinal Chemistry

Fitch Even congratulates partner Steve Parmelee on the release of his book, Strategic Patent Portfolio Management, which was published in cooperation with the National Knowledge & Intellectual Property Management Taskforce. Mr. Parmelee's book provides a tutorial to help business executives understand intellectual property as an integral component of business strategy. The Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Patent, Copyright and Competition Law in Munich has invited Fitch Even to continue its participation in a collaborative study of patent enforcement regimes in various industrial countries. The original collaboration by IP professionals from seven countries was published by the Institute in 2000 as Patent Enforcement In Selected Countries. The expanded study will address patent enforcement proceedings in over a dozen countries.

Fitch Even's work with the Max Planck Institute is led by partner Tim Maloney.

Fitch Even has been selected to contribute a chapter addressing intellectual property protection and strategy in the Sixth Edition of Burger's Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery. This major reference work provides a wealth of information to medicinal chemists, biologists, molecular biologists and pharmacologists. Fitch Even contributed to previous editions, and is pleased to renew its commitment to the medicinal, pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields through continued participation in the Burger's reference.
