Brian P. Herrmann is a registered patent attorney who has centered his career on complex litigation. He has practiced at numerous venues including the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), the International Trade Commission (ITC), and many district courts across the country. Brian has represented clients in telecommunications, computer infrastructure, networks (LTE, WiFi), electronic devices and their parts such as LCD televisions, Bluetooth, and video technology.

His prior litigation experience in Texas has made him knowledgeable with the evolving and crucial issue of venue. Brian advises clients on whether to bring a case before the ITC or in district court, how to handle a parallel proceeding before the PTAB that may be brought before or during litigation, and which district courts are available as proper venues in order to ensure the best outcome for his clients. 



Represented global technology firm in extensive inter partes review campaign where a vast majority of the cases resulted in favorable Patent Trial and Appeal Board decisions for the client.

Represented complainant in International Trade and Commission proceedings against large global electronic memory manufacturers where case settled favorably for client.

Represented wireless technology patent holders in a wide-ranging campaign across multiple districts and obtained multiple favorable settlements for the clients.

Represented holder of LCD television technology patents against numerous television manufacturers where claims settled favorably for client.

Represented telecommunications company in inter partes review and Covered Business Method Patent Review campaign against competitor which resulted in a global settlement and dispute resolution of all claims between the companies.

Represented large chemical company in arbitrations before the International Chamber of Commerce and American Arbitration Association.
