Hyojeong Son focuses her practice on U.S. and international utility patent preparation and prosecution, freedom-to-operate, IP-related due diligence, and idea development with inventors. She also supports litigation teams through research and document preparation. Hyojeong works with start-up to global high-tech companies. Some of the various technologies she has worked with are semiconductors, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, food science, and architecture.

Before joining Fitch Even, Hyojeong was a patent attorney in Korea where she worked with in-house counsel and inventors of a top Fortune 500 company, conducted IPR and ex parte trials before the Korean IP Office Trial Board, and prosecuted patent applications.

Hyojeong relies on her experience and undergraduate degrees in Material Science Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering to provide her with a clear understanding of clients’ specific technologies.
