Fitch Even Participates in Chicago Bar Foundation’s 2015 Investing in Justice Campaign

May 21, 2015

Fitch, Even, Tabin & Flannery was honored to once again support the Chicago Bar Foundation’s Investing in Justice Campaign, an annual initiative that raises funds for pro bono and legal aid services in the Chicago area, helping to ensure that thousands of low-income and disadvantaged people have access to critical legal assistance. With 147 law firms, corporate legal departments, and other law-related organizations participating, the 2015 Campaign raised more than $1.45 million.

One hundred percent of individual contributions go directly to CBF grants and leverage hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional funding for this work as well. This year’s campaign will yield more than $2 million in grants to 34 pro bono and legal aid organizations, thanks to generous matching contributions from participating firms and companies and additional foundation and government funding leveraged through the campaign grants process.

Over the past nine years, the Investing in Justice Campaign has raised over $11.5 million to fund a wide range of services in the Chicago area, including web-based information and resources, legal aid hotlines, advice desks and clinics, extended legal representation, and significant impact litigation. Through this initiative, Chicago’s legal community comes together to help ensure that people in need will have a better chance at equal access to justice.
