Fitch, Even, Tabin & Flannery is pleased to announce that Eric L. Broxterman has joined the firm’s Chicago office as an associate. Eric has a broad-based intellectual property law practice, with a focus on litigation. He counsels clients in a variety of industries on patent prosecution, infringement/invalidity opinions, IP transactional issues, and procurement of intellectual property. In addition to his substantial experience relating to patent matters, Eric has handled cases concerning false advertising, trademark, and copyright issues.
Eric comes to us from Winston & Strawn, where he developed his intellectual property litigation practice, participating in both jury and bench trials. Prior to his legal career, he worked as a mechanical engineer designing and manufacturing components for commercial and government aircraft engines.
Eric received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and earned his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. While in law school, he worked as a summer associate at Fitch Even. Following graduation, Eric served as law clerk for the Honorable Kathleen O’Malley in the Northern District of Ohio.
