Fitch Even partners Karl R. Fink and Steven G. Parmelee will speak at “Business Power: The Effects of IP on Corporate Performance,” a national conference presented by the National Knowledge & Intellectual Property Management Taskforce and the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. The conference will take place on June 14–15, 2012, at the Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, S.C.
Mr. Fink will serve as a panelist during the June 14 session on “Leadership in Corporate Performance: Establishing the Performance Baseline to Build Competitive Capabilities and Competencies.” Mr. Parmelee will serve as a panelist during the June 15 session on “Managing the IP Transaction: Creating the Financial Infrastructure to Serve Corporate America.” His panel will focus on “Creating the ‘Better than Competitive’ Corporate Leadership Team.”

Dropbox, Inc., the Federal Circuit affirmed that certain of Synchronoss's claims were invalid for indefiniteness, since the claims included a means-plus-function claim term that did not have adequate structural support in the specification.
