Fitch Even was proud to be a sponsor of the 120th Annual Judges' Dinner hosted by the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC) on November 14, 2014, at the Standard Club in Chicago. This long-running event is held each year in honor of the federal judiciary. This year’s keynote speaker was the Honorable Sharon Prost, Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Founded in 1884, IPLAC is the oldest intellectual property law association in the United States. Fitch Even attorneys have been actively involved with IPLAC as leaders and members since its inaugural organizational meeting.

Dropbox, Inc., the Federal Circuit affirmed that certain of Synchronoss's claims were invalid for indefiniteness, since the claims included a means-plus-function claim term that did not have adequate structural support in the specification.
