Fitch Even partner Joseph T. Nabor will participate in a panel discussion on "A Primer on Trademark Office Actions" presented by the Intellectual Property Section of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA). The program will take place at the ISBA Chicago Regional Office on May 10, 2011, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
The speakers will discuss the types of trademark office actions, how to respond to an office action, issues raised in office actions, and additional related topics. General practitioners, business law attorneys, in-house lawyers, and Intellectual Property lawyers are encouraged to attend. MCLE credit is available. Mr. Nabor served as the Chair of the ISBA Intellectual Property Section Council in 1997–98 and in 2008–09. He has been the Chair of Fitch Even's Trademark and Copyright practice group since 1989. Mr. Nabor has extensive experience in trademark prosecution, both domestic and international. A highly successful litigator, his expertise in trademark enforcement is widely sought after. In addition, he regularly counsels clients on brand development strategies, including securing trademark rights throughout the world. Mr. Nabor also assists his clients in the enforcement and protection of rights developed under the copyright laws of all international jurisdictions.
