Julie Muyco is a registered patent agent based in Fitch Even’s San Diego office. In this role, Julie focuses on patent preparation and prosecution, patent analysis, and patentability searching, primarily working with clients in the fields of clean technology, medical devices, mechanical engineering, autonomous driving, sports equipment, packaging for liquid goods, scanning technology, and consumer goods.

With over 15 years of experience as a patent agent in both law firm and in-house startup environments, Julie brings valuable insights into invention harvesting, portfolio building, and strategic patent prosecution. She has helped startups develop and refine IP strategies, from invention disclosure vetting to global portfolio management.

Throughout her career, Julie has been instrumental in the IP teams of startups, particularly those innovating in the fields of carbon capture technology, the development of opposed-piston internal combustion engines, and cutting-edge autonomous vehicle systems.

With an M.S. and B.S. in materials science and engineering, and research experience at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Julie combines technical depth with strategic insight to help clients protect and maximize the value of their innovations.
