Rebecca A. Jansen is a patent agent located in Fitch Even’s San Luis Obispo office. She assists clients with patent application preparation and prosecution, including analyzing prior art; conducting patentability searches; writing patent specifications and claims; preparing continuation, divisional, and continuation-in-part patent applications; and preparing application amendments and responses to USPTO actions.

Becky serves clients in areas such as computer software and hardware, electronics, environmental engineering, material science, and mechanical engineering. Her work is informed by over 10 years of experience as a practicing structural engineer, specializing in steel and concrete construction. Prior to joining Fitch Even, Becky taught structural and civil engineering courses as a member of the adjunct faculty in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Architectural Engineering at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo.
