Fitch Even is pleased to welcome Ryan M. Richter as an associate in the firm’s Chicago office. The firm also congratulates Lindsay Boehme, Ph.D., on her promotion from patent agent to associate following her admission to the bar.
Ryan is a registered patent attorney whose practice focuses on domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution, particularly in the areas of mechanical engineering, medical devices, manufacturing systems, and energy-related technologies. Prior to joining Fitch Even, he gained patent prosecution experience at an intellectual property boutique and worked as a loss control inspector for an international equipment breakdown insurance company, evaluating complex industrial systems across manufacturing, utility, and power generation facilities.
Ryan earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where he worked in the Patent Clinic providing pro bono support to inventors with limited resources. He also holds a B.S. in Technical Studies from Thomas Edison State University and completed technical training through the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power Program.
Lindsay is a registered patent attorney whose practice includes patent application preparation and prosecution across a range of scientific and engineering disciplines, supported by more than a decade of industry experience in chemical engineering, materials science, and electrochemical technology. Prior to entering the legal field, she led R&D initiatives in water treatment and electrochemical devices, managed federally funded research programs, and oversaw intellectual property portfolios related to sustainable materials technologies.
Lindsay earned her J.D. from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa. She is also fluent in French.
