On October 25, 2013, Fitch Even counsel James J. Schumann was recognized for 50 years of membership in the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) at the CBA’s annual 50-Year Member Luncheon. Along with other members of the CBA “Class of 1963,” Jim was honored for his contributions to the legal profession, his personal achievements in practice, and his allegiance to the CBA over the past five decades.
Jim was admitted the Illinois Bar in 1962 and spent his entire legal career with Fitch, Even, Tabin & Flannery, beginning as a law clerk in 1961. He worked in the firm’s Chicago office until 1988, when he relocated to San Diego where Fitch Even opened its first Southern California office to better serve the firm’s West Coast-based clients.
Fitch Even congratulates Jim on yet another milestone in his distinguished legal career.
