An article written by Fitch Even partner Alison Aubry Richards was published in the April 6 issue of LES Insights, the online newsletter of the Licensing Executives Society (LES). The article, “The Primary Challenges to Monetizing Patents in Today's Business, Legal, and Regulatory Environment,” summarizes the 2014 LES Annual Meeting panel discussion of the same name. The panel, moderated by Alison, focused on the challenges recent developments have had on assessing value and obtaining revenue from patent licensing and sales.

Dropbox, Inc., the Federal Circuit affirmed that certain of Synchronoss's claims were invalid for indefiniteness, since the claims included a means-plus-function claim term that did not have adequate structural support in the specification.
