Fitch Even is pleased to welcome Lindsay Boehme as a technical writer and Ethan A. Tibbs as an associate to the firm’s Chicago office.

Lindsay brings extensive expertise in patent application preparation and prosecution across diverse scientific and engineering disciplines, supported by more than a decade of experience in chemical engineering, materials science, and electrochemical technology. Before entering the legal field, Lindsay led R&D initiatives in water treatment and electrochemical devices, managed multi-million-dollar federal grants, and oversaw an IP portfolio that included multiple patents on sustainable materials technologies. Her industry background offers valuable insight into the journey from lab innovation to commercialization and patent protection.

Lindsay holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and dual undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa. She recently earned her J.D. from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law and is fluent in French.

Ethan, a registered patent attorney, focuses on patent preparation and prosecution for clients in industries such as medical devices, biotechnology, software, electronics, and food products. He is passionate about partnering with inventors and companies to transform innovative ideas into valuable intellectual property assets. Ethan’s strong technical foundation stems from his prior experience in the biotechnology industry, where he supported laboratory research and product development. He earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2025 and gained hands-on experience at the Chicago-Kent Patent Hub. As Editor-in-Chief of the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property, he deepened his expertise in emerging IP issues.

Fitch Even is excited to have Lindsay and Ethan join the team and looks forward to their contributions to the firm’s continued success.
